Hi Jack,You mention that the Sony SXRD sets don't toss out info, do you have any knowledge of how the JVC 1080p sets process the info.
Now I'm all concerned my D-ILA set is converted my 1080i signal through HDMI to 540p since this guy says 1080p is impossible right now.

It looks great. Better black levels than I anticipated. Hi-def looks fantastic. The only gripes I have is standard def TV looks TERRIBLE and there are only 2 HDMI inputs.I thought the Sony SXRD's where a tad better picture wise but took the 61" JVC because we got a killer deal on one.
I think the JVC does fine. Some of the DLP TVs, tend to loose some of the signal when proccessing. The Brillian LCOS too IIRC.
