  If it's MPEG2 you can use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink to make a perfect copy and delete the extra stuff that you don't want. There's an interactive demo on the internet that shows you how.

      If you can put it on a DVD, you can do what you want via DVD D/DVD S. If you have a video editing program, you can also do this (I'm guessing you don't).

          I don't believe the software I suggested reads .mpg, but if what you want can be burned as a DVD a different file type is created (which can be read).

          By the way, you can't get 2GB (what you aked for) on a CD either. I can get 1GB on a CD (Plextor's Plextools), but that's the limit for the CD format.
