My wife wants a 40-42" flat screen (wall mount) for doing her exercise dvds. She doesn't really need widescreen but 16x9 is preferred as we will run this set in parallel with our theater projector when we have folks over for sporting telecasts. What is THE best deal out there picture for the money? I'm assuming that LCD will be a lot cheaper than plasma.
Follow Ups:
I've seen 40" plasmas at Home Depot for well under $1000 Canadian, about the same price I paid for a 27" CRT ten years ago. Also some surprisingly cheap sets at Walmart (I forget if they were LCD or plasma). If the brightness is going to be cranked up for daytime viewing, an LCD might be a better choice to avoid screen burn.

I would never have considered Home Depot but will check it out. Thanks Bubba.

Actually if you do a little shopping you will find that right now plasmas are less expensive than LCDs for a comparable size and brand.
