I'm using an Alpha 10 DAVE with a 10P PAM for HT and music. speakers are Spica TC-50 front, B&W CC6 center and 302 surrounds, Velodyne 1012 sub. Pioneer 525 DVD modified by Stan Warren and Ah Tjoeb CD.I upgraded to the Arcam equipment from a Pioneer Elite Receiver. I'm very pleased with the sound. The HT works very well, the audio is much better than the receiver. I like it better than my old Naim 62/90 setup.
I don't like the programable remote very much. It's hard to use different components without changing the component that's being controlled. This may be that I haven't completely mastered programing the thing.
I am very impressed by a natural and musical sound with good detail but no hard edge when playing CDs.
I expect there will be good deals now that new models are out. We'll see how the new stuff sounds, but irrationally I like equipment that was manufactured in England rather than in Asia.
I'm in Cincinnati, you're welcome to come and listen.
Alan
