The thing I have noticed with most HT recievers is when you want to really crank it to that obsean level(with some Metallica or Zepellin), they falter. What about the arcram?

Gandalfcrow, I don't generally crank up the Arcam too loud as my neighbors would have my head. I listen to OLD Metallica and a lot of Pantera and Megadeth, as well as Zepplin and others of that era. I do not find that the Arcam loses it at higher volumes, as a matter of fact, it seems to relish turning up the volume. Again, it all comes down to what you want and need from the receiver. I think the Arcam wil serve you well, and if you add an amp later, it can only get better.SW
