Greeting's Forum,It's time to upgrade from my Yamaha 2095 reciever to seperates. I've got it narrowed down to two chooses B&K reference 30 with 200x5 7250 amp or Enlighted Audio Designs Powermaster 1000 and their Theatermaster Ovation which althought at retail more exspensive i believe i've located. Besides DD and DTS 2 channel bypass is critical for my SACD player.
I'm wanting to know how other people have been going upgrade wise and their thoughts on my choices. Also any other pieces you think i should look at Thanks in advance for your time and comments.

Ref 30, also use a SACD player (Sony 9000es) and am pretty much
decided on a Classe CAV-75 amplifier as my Audio Physic Tempos
are 90db efficient and run at 4 ohms.I did hear the 7250 and was pretty impressed with its sound in a
dealer showroom with some B&W speakers--I just dont need that much
power and was willing to trade off the Classe's sound for lower
power.Always,
BGunn
The B&K piece is good but EAD is a step-up.
Both have analog inputs controlled in the analog domain (for SACD or DVD-A). Both have preamp outputs for all channels. Both have many different decoding capabilities (DTS 5.1, DTS-ES 6.1 Matrix, DTS-ES 6.1 Discrete, Dolby Digital 5.1. Dolby Digital 6.1 Matrix, Dolby Pro-Logic, etc.). Use them to power your speakers or use preamp outputs to power amps.
Cannot speak for the EAD piece but you simply cannot go wrong with Ref 30 and its mate 7250 amp. The Ref30 has all the usual suspects or I mean 'direct' of 2 or 5.1 plus some! Just my $0.02 :-)
