I was looking for a S-video cable, I came across the reviews at Audioreview.com, and if you look at the number of reviews, they get 27 superb reviews glowing about how significantly better their cable is. I looked at Monster s-video cable reviews, they only have 7 reviews .
I hunted on the archives, the most mentioned cable is Monster 1000 and a few mentions of bettercables.com . LOOKS TO ME as if they had stooges put in glowing reviews to make them look better. Its toooo obvious.
Looks to me as if IXOS cables may be just as good, and/or the base Tributaries both at around $20-$30 for 2 meters will do the job.
If anyone has any recommendations, let me know, but please dont recommend bettercables.com

I own and use BetterCables S-video cable and I find it to be an outstanding cable. It has an excellent price/performance. I'm not in any way affiliated with this company. I'm just one who is happy with the performance and value of the product
Carl G, did it ever occur to you that those reviews on AudioReview might be from actual users who are happy with their product from BetterCables? Why do you assume a consipracy over legitimate feedback from enthusiastic users? Go over to hometheaterforum.com. You'll run into a lot of people who are enthusiastic about these cables.
Steve, no one here will question another's right to free speech. But why are you attacking Brad's response to Carl's posting. By doing this, your supporting Carl's right to free speech, while negating Brad's right to free speech. You can't pick and choose.

I would appreciate you not posting slanderous remarks in this forum about the BetterCables.com reviews at AudioReview.com. This subject has come up in the forums on AudioReview.com and the General Manager (Norbert Schmeid) did not take kindly to the accusations. He strictly monitors the postings in those reviews including checking the unique IP addresses for each post. We are a very small company and I can assure you we spend NO time posting reviews on ANY of our own cables. We have built a great relationship with our customers and they have shown their appreciation by posting good things in AudioReview.com.
I suggest you e-mail Norbert (Norbert@audioreview.com) if you have concerns about the integrity of the reviews on his site, but please don�t make false accusations in a public forum. This cable is relatively inexpensive for its performance! It bests the Monster M's in my opinion, and is half the cost.
