FIRST OFF:
the loewe uses the philips tube!second: go for the loewe calida!
why? 1080, 760p, 480p on broadcast, 3/2 pulldown built in,
high quality parts,16 x 9 squeezei know for a fact that all managers at the good guys
have or want the loewe not the philips!i have a loewe and i love it!
Follow Ups:
you can pick up a calida "open box" for $1900!!!!
so what if it is not wide screen?
the 16 x 9 squeeze works great, its got 3/2 pulldown,
and you save a grand!
Wow! That's a passionate response! I will check out the Calida this weekend.Thanks.
Seth
i just got the loewe 2 weeks ago.
i can not believe how good the picture is when
you get it home and set it up right.
i looked at sony wega, panasonic, philips, mitsub, proton,
they just are the best picture you are going to get
unless you go high def.
but for dvd, and regular broadcast the loewe has a very
high end line doubler.
example: i was watching the news the other day, and they
showed some guys working on a highway, well this guy
is wearing a safety vest and the tv is showing it a true
FLORESCENT YELLOW! IT BLEW MY MIND TO SEE THAT KIND OF A COLOR.
KEEP IN MIND THAT I HAVE HAD PROTON TV,S BEFORE.
the blacks are jet black,WHITES PURE WHITE,PICTURE IS
SOLID LIKE FILM
