he says that before the U.S. invasion, Bagdad was (despite, or perhaps because of Saddam) a peaceful, cultured, beautiful city when one could sit in an outside cafe, sip tea and watch people go by. Now, as we all know, it's a hellhole. The city and the country have been ruined, perhaps for all time.
I liken Bush's Mideast policy to the farmer who tries to remove a hornet's nest by whacking it with a big stick.
As for Michael Moore, only extremely naive people will fail to see what his movies are about. Of course they're not 'documentaries' in the strict sense of the word--they're far more than that.

theres plenty of other video showing this to be true. It was a Western city, with colleges, and department stores. It is now in the stone age and anarchy.
