I liked this film.
Don't know why but your post reminded me of "The Aura" by the Argentine director, Fabian Bielinsky. His earlier "Nine Queens" was more widely distributed, maybe better known but I like this one better.

Quite different motivational circumstances but again a man assumes another's identity/place and finds himself involved in a very smart and deadly tale of survival.
A richly conceived and executed character study with plenty twists, ala "The Passenger" or "The Conversation".
Highly recommended.

  ..since I saw "Nine Queens" but I remember it being a bit contrived. Tiring if not tiresome. Still, I enjoyed it.
