Maybe I'm an OCD candidate but I will watch a movie quite a few times over a short period of time if I am particularly charmed by it. What I have noticed is that I reach a point of satiety in which the movie becomes non-nonsensical and incongruent. It's hard to explain but it's similar to repeating a word over and over until it seems to make no sense. The film breaks down into a jigsaw puzzle that no long seems to fit together. I will have to put it away for a very long time in order for it to make sense once again.
Crazy?

They would watch the same Wiggles DVD over and over and over and over .....
Until it all finally sunk in.
Now they are 5 and 7 they don't do it any more. One watch is enough for them to absorb all the details.

I can't watch a movie more than 2-3 times in a year, absolute max. Actually, there are maybe half a dozen movies in my entire life that I've seen more than 2-3 times. Which makes me believe you're just bored of the movie but want something good to watch?
My brain processes it in a different way--maybe part of it doesn't want to see it and makes it unintelligible?

Sorry, you watch the same movie 8-10 times in one month? Yep, you've got to be sick of any movie by then IMO.

Was a favourite phrase for endless repetition.
