  ... a great raunchy cartoon story told with utter abandon - "Scarface" a classic of its own making.
  
  The scene in the restaurant when all goes to heck is a masterpiece - tight, awful and true.
  
  The relationships, the local, the journey travelled is...De Palma's best?
  
  I like to think so, along with "Carrie" of course.

      Although I like De Palma films - I see your point. "Scarface" is sometimes laughable... almost silly ... "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!" But despite De Palma being overly dramatic...when this occurs - it's successfully operatic.
