It still is, from some recent mainstream British TV program DVDs I got. And by *white people* too. Not so in British Commonwealth Canada I'd have to say...
...and I think the final 3rd of the film is thrilling. The cross cutting from the flight mission back and forth with the silence of the "war room" awaiting news of the results is precise as the bombing runs, which by the way, were the inspiration for the bombing attack on the Death Star from the first Star Wars movie. The Blu-Ray picture is well transferred, and the sound (as I mentioned earlier) is very well designed to support the tension in the story. The heroic score by Eric Coates was moving. As far as the dog's name is concerned, your comment clarified its proper context. I believe the spirit of the sentiment was honorable. What times we live in!
