      Set design. Props.
      The cautionary tale message from the film (beware monsters of the ID). Many ST episodes concluded with a similar moral.
      
      Skimpy costumes on the one female in Forbidden Planet is seen time and again on Star Trek Episodes. No doubt a key component in the success for the TV series.
