Most people I've spoken to agree the end was very suspenseful. It isn't that great

a film. It's strictly by the numbers, yet it succeeds largely, I think, by Affleck's calm portrayal and that it is a "true" story.

Don't get me too wrong, I thought the whole movie was supsenseful (cept the comedy parts - Road Warrior 17:43:02 02/25/13 (2)
which were good) but felt the ending, as in the cars chasing the plane detracted and, was unnecessary. BTW, I may have exaggerated a wee bit when I said the car chase "ruined" the movie.

I agree with you about Affleck's performance. I look forward to appreciating it again when the rental is available.

As for this year's crop, based on the 5 nominated best pictures I saw, I felt they were all about ***&1/2 out of ****. Argo my least fav of the five (Django, ZDT, Lincoln, BotSW, Argo)
