I do not see movies by people who f*ck their stepdaughters then leave naked Polaroids out for their mother to find.

The whole 'separate the art from the artist' is a tricky question, but this is not a hard decision for me.

My wife, a woody Allen HATER!!!!!GRRRRRRRR!!!!!HATER!!!!!!!!!, for the same reason as you, thoroughly enjoyed the movie. His best since Matchpoint.

  In his movie "Sweet and lowdown" he depicts an artist (guitarist Sean Penn, who at that point was best known for being the husband who beat Madonna) who is the second best guitarist in the world after Django, but who is personally a scumbag. He is trying to searate the personality from the Art.
