...is the last scene in the Forbidden Games.
But this is like shooting the fish... it is almost unfair, showing the suffering of kids.
Follow Ups:
Coincidental, but that was the first film that came to mind when I saw this thread. For instance,"To kill a Mockingbird"-when they find Boo Radley (R. Duvall) hiding behind the door-that scene made me weep. Same with the scene in the abandoned mine in "Adventures of Tom Sawyer" (1938?) where Tom Sawyer sings to Becky Thatcher as their candles dim in the darkness, to comfort her. And how about the Alaster Sim "Christmas Carol" when Scrooge's nephew and future niece welcome the remorseful wretch into their home?
seen, "The Ascent"? A LONG time ago you showed some interest in doing so.
It is very good, but kind of what you expect from a good Russian director - the war theme is one of the most important in the Soviet cinema, and they made many good films, usually with no artificiality so common in the Western war films... I guess if you keep doing something then you are bound to eventually become good at it. :) Even their propaganda-laden ones often speak the truth... with some exceptions.
They also made quite a few lighthearted war comedies, but I doubt these would show well here, they are too deeply rooted in the popular culture of that period - mainly their stars.

have subtitles. Netflix doesn't carry any of them, either.
Very frustrating!
Someone somewhere decides which movies to release to our market. Overall we are doing pretty good, but yes, more foreign films on Netflix would be great. However, this is market working.
