from the deep humanity that was at the core of Seven Samurai as possible.

The Sturges film translated a good deal of that humanity to our western sensibilities via a popular vehicle.

The trailers look like Fuqua may have distanced us further from it.

Hope he didn't lose substance over style.

He's proven before he can offer both.
