I have not seen any of his films, but I find it impossible not to know the fact that he went to jail (OK, OK, a "confinement center") :). It was all over the wire.
I don't hold any particular view of him, since I simply don't know enough, but the fact he spent 8 months in jail is a common knowledge to anyone interested in politics.

Victor, maybe you didn't read my op correctly, or maybe I could've said it more plainly, but was/am absolutely aware that he'd been convicted and sentenced. Or maybe I've missed your point. Either way, I've already typed way,way more about this man than I ever imagined I would.
