Atmospheric yes, artistic and moody, yes. I didn't like it as much as you. What was the point of her doing what she did?

The more I see it more the more I agree. It was all done better, now that I think about it, in Starman. The book, by the way, Under the Skin, is a horse of. Different Color, being much more detailed and uh, horrific. No one would ever be able to make a movie true to the book.

I'm pretty sure she was much more interested in the flanks and ribs.
Here's a bit fuller plot summary: Scarlett drives around in a van through the streets of Glasgow, luring men to their doom. But then she feels bad about it and suffers the consequences.
So I guess the point is, she shouldn't have felt bad about what she was doing.
It seems like a script that could have been written by a scorned woman.
...well, she was an alien luring men to their doom.
Then she began feeling emotions.
First compassion, then love, then fear.
You can read anything into it you want.
