From 1955's Picnic by William Inge starring an outstanding ensemble cast with handsome William Holden, the beautiful Kim Novak, Rosalind Russell, Arthur O'Connell, Susan Strasberg, Cliff Robertson and Verna Felton. Directed by Joshua Logan and photographed by James Wong Howe it tells the story of a drifter who comes to town to visit an old college friend and falls head over heels in love with his girl. I have a real soft spot for this film as I played the Cliff Robertson part in a college production MANY moons ago!
