Interesting screenwriter and director. A long career over five decades.Best known probably for The Big Red One. I just saw The Naked Kiss from 1964. The opening scene is great and ahead of its time as is this whole flick.
To be sure it's a B movie but it's worth watching. I don't want to give anything away so I won't mention anything other than to say again way ahead of its time. I will say the lead is a strong woman that advocates for herself. I never saw a woman like this until into the 70's and then quite rarely.
The story has subject matter seldom touched. I can think of another film that touched similar issues but won't say as it would be a spoiler.
The print and audio ain't that great but 100% watchable. It was over saturated so I lowered the brightness and contrast.I didn't know any of the actors except Constance Towers. Some of the acting would be considered a weakness but it's not terrible.
Towers also starred in Fuller's 1963 offering Shock Corridor taken from a Pulitzer winning story of a reporter who checks into an asylum undercover to report on abuse. This is worth watching and I wasn't sure when it was half way through. I was distracted a lot during the first half so I will watch it again soon.

He tells a story packed with action and no boring interludes.
I watched a movie last night that you'd prolly enjoy since it reminded me of Sam Fuller. It's called 'Murder by Contract' -- and another great one is 'The Lineup' -- both are neo noirs made in 1958.
