it kinda had to come to a conclusion.

There are now numerous "One crime-One season" dramas. The Killing comes to mind tho they cheated on Season 1. The American Crime series is similar.

American Horror Story, one season, one genre explored. Each season tho, worst than the previous (for the most part)

The Bodyguard. An excellent example of a one season series brought to a fantastic conclusion in the last episode.

  I thought it was way too formulaic, and I liked the duo of Tom Berenger and Mimi Rogers better.

    seriously suspenseful scenes tho Victor. It may have been formulaic but it was quite well done, of course IMHO, YMMV, ibid, et al, in vino veritas, etc..
