It's time to permanently retire 007 and move on to 008, who should be a woman.
AND, played by a woman.
No Jackass Black in drag.

As GB is in the throes of diversity this would be a great way to carry on the story down two different forks. You could have Idris and Beckinsale saving the world every year.
yes with the flack about a female lead or a non Caucasian playing the lead I never understood why they didn't just have 006 Jane Bond and 008 John Steele.
They could have multiple movies and a 00 universes and make kabillions when they all team up.
Ooops - I should not even write that down - some Producer will probably wind up doing it.
Who will be cast as Jane Bond in your movie?
Bill
Now that's a fun question.
Zazie Beetz
Claire Foy
Daisy Ridley
Emma Stone - her role in The Favourite makes me a believer.
I just don't think it's a role that requires vast acting chops - I perfectly enjoyed Roger Moore's eyebrow lifts as well as Timothy Dalton's turn. Craig and Dalton were pretty similar but Dalton was a bit ahead of the time.
Daisy Ridley can pull off the action sequence and is solid enough but maybe too young.
Ditto Jodie Comer from Killing Eve.
I also think Yvonne Strahovski could pull it off. And maybe not as known as some of the others.
What about you?
She has license to kill.
Bill Kill
Yeah, love her! Loved her as Lenny Cohen on "Imposters."
I like Uma - how's her British Accent?
May have to be dubbed!
Bill
Daisy Ridley? The woman who single handedly destroyed the most popular film franchise in history?
How about a Ghostbusters movie with all women? It'll be a big hit.
