Still even though I check rotten tomatoes for 80 plus ratings, I still bail out of lots of them. Am I a tasteless boor?

It's a dumpster fire.

Pretty much 98% of their original programming is just awful.

It's not you.
I've lost track of how many things from Netflix I've bailed on.
To be honest, I rarely use their service anymore.
Huge disappointment.

If so, then I am surprised it is that low.

Among the DVD's we get about 90% are "excellent to very good". But that supply is coming to an end, after perhaps 200 films.
