My '1917' Review: cool photography and CGI. Like '300' but dialed back 95%. Excellent immersion. You're in the trenches. Well done 1917 sets, I thought.. A bit gory (Dead guys everywhere). Draft beer in movie theaters is good but then you have to pee halfway thru the war. Need subtitles to translate from Brit. See it on big screen. Don't sit near farters. I liked the movie. Haven't fact-checked it but it appears something like this event happened.
Follow Ups:
I wonder how accurate it is? A uncle served in the US Army and fought in the trenches in France. They were always dirty often wet and there was a lot of disease and suffering due to the conditions. Dysentery and foot rot were common.

an acknowledgment given to a WWI veteran relative for all his accounts. I presume much of the film are his stories stitched together.
Grab a copy of 'They Shall Not Grow Old' in order to contrast all WWI movies. '1917' is Disney compared to the real thing.
