Sang-ho Yeon (had to look him up), Train To Busan. Found a niche in the Zombie film market. Once it got going a Helluva ride. Hoping the sequel is close to its equal.
You had previously recommended Mother and Memory of Murder by the Parasite director. Those both may have been Parasite's equal, especially Memory.
Eat More Bar B Que (not a movie, just a suggestion!)
Ima look up Burning.

and it was arm-lickin' good. Yam fries great, too. Ya gotta see "Burning!"
was a freebie with a free one week trial of IFC's premium content channel. That was a solid recommendation btw. Initially, I was wondering where it was headed (having not read a detailed review) with Mrs. Lee and her son settling in to life in Miryang. Then the thing happened and the film got more "Korean". Also looking forward to The Host.Right now, Narcos, Season 5 was just put up on Ntflx. When you get settled, catch all the seasons. Despite the somewhat wooden acting of the nominal lead in Season 1, I can't recommend the series highly enough. Not a bad season in the bunch.

Great effects but even greater characters.
Return Of The Living Dead is a strong candidate for best Zombie flick IMHO. Blends humor and horror seamlessly and with Clu Gulager in a starring role, how can you go wrong? The scenes with the punks is the only reason I don't give this an unabashed best ever vote. The followup is drivel, be forewarned

I thought the original Night of The..... was the best. That eeriness was hard to replicate. I loved that very first Zombie who looked so absentminded coming up as if he had forgotten what he wanted.

Come on.
Shaun makes it in the Top 3 or Top 5 for sure, along with Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead.
Return of .. is no better than a good Troma production.
I must check out these Korean ones though. I love the few Japanese horror and fantasy movies I've seen. Korean sounds similar but perhaps more sophisticated.

and quite well done, leaves me cold, doesn't make my top 5

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is worth a look. Quite a different take on the zombie genre and very easy on the eye ;-)

I told her it was a remake of Pride and Prejudice, pulled her in after the opening credits ran. She lasted til the first zombie. I'll catch it again when it's rerun on one of the movie channels. And yes, Lily James is insanely easy on the eyes

It should be a thing.
