Dones anybody use a VPN to watch offshore movies?

I'm trying to find out how a VPN will improve my access to foreign Netflix, HBO etc.I used to watch British Netflix ten years ago without a VPN, but now it may be different.

I don't do this myself but I became curious because I am quite aware that other countries have different netflix programs.

I found this write-up...it says netflix keeps lists of vpn addresses to stop geo-spoofing, so you need to use a vpn that is changing its addresses frequently.

you have foreign Netflix access that needs to be improved but it might be different from ten years ago & you need it over a VPN for 'offshore' movies ...? are you being fey third chair?
