I guess im learning that not allmovies are great movies and I have to adapt to inferior stories/drama.
I look at the rotten tomatoes reviews for some help.
Well crafted film writing is kind of rare.
'Margin Call'. Incredible movie. Great cast, great writing. It's so real.

Iranian horror; thought this was very well done
GW
Mushrooms, JoJo Rabbit, Troop 0, Shaun the Sheep,
and Slumdog Millionaire.
I know, I'm late to That Party!
As the 2009 Academy Award winner for best film, surely Slumdog Millionaire shouldn't be in any inferior Amazon Prime and Netflix movie list?

Watched Svengoolie on a cable channel last night. The slapstick was so bad that it was funny. Kind of reverse humor. The movie du jour that he presented was Werewolf of London, 1935, with Henry Hull. I think it was the first werewolf film, with the first attempt at proper wolf costuming. There was a big flap about the makeup, but it served as role model for other creature presentations that came along before computers.
Warner Olund played Dr. Yogami, a Japanese doc. Olund was a Swedish actor best known as Charlie Chan in a series of films in the 40's, claimed to be the only movies that kept Warner Bros in business at the time. Strange that a Swede would be so convincing as an Asian, but it obviously worked well.
Any movie from the 30's is going to be freakin' horrible, but there are other reasons to see them.

Im getting used to some mediocre stuff. I don't hate it but I try to give a film a chance. All those second rate writers and directors had (hopefully) good intentions.
Anyway it boils down to limited availability of good flicks and surviving the aunslaut.
It ain't easy as they seem legion.
Way too many "continue watching" POS building up.
If you dig though - "people also watched" from good films - you can keep tethered to decent films.
They don't make it easy, just keep digging.
LOTS of really good series from the past 15-20 years available if you are so inclined.

"E Burres Stigano?"
At least that has been my experience... About a month ago I woke up in the middle of the night and turned on the TV just in time to watch a pseudo cop show called "Psych"... as I watched it the more I was struck by the fact that this is quite possibly the DUMBEST show that I have ever seen on TV! After it was over I went onto IMDB and to my amazement the reviews for it were off the charts saying how wonderful it was! LOL someone even had the audacity to compare to Monk which is ludicrous because Monk is excellent in comparsion to that trash show! Psych is the ONLY TV show that I have seen where the supporting characters are more interesting than the stars of the show!
