"silly and bordering on inchoherence"...yes indeed. It is IMO a total mess. One week it is an Indiana Jones quest. Another week it is a Green Book type drama on mid-20th century racism. Every once in a while, monsters show up. There are father/son dynamics and male/female dynamics. And the father is gay. There is a back story about a Korean girl who turned into a monster when she had sex with men. Emmett Till's death plays a part. A very white guy and a very white girl turn out to be the same person. I barely know what people are trying to do anymore and really don't care. The only reason I will watch the last 2 episodes are out of an obsessive need for completeness.
Follow Ups:
still waiting. It has everything going for it except a cohesive plot.
The storyline(s) couldn't be properly analyzed by Dexter if they were blood splatter.
Fantastic music and I love the spoken word interludes.

It seemed oddly appropriate that the teenage girl pulled her sleeve back to show, for no apparent reason, a strong new robotic arm and to violently and bloodily kill the very white villain as her new pet monster howled at the moon with its multiple tongues.
This goes on my short list of worst series ever, maybe one of them so bad it's good. I will not however be tuning into a second season if it shows up,
