She seems the alternative lifestyle type. Being lesbian has toughened up her worldly views I'm sure. I guess curmudgenly intelectual might work. She can say some funny things about NYC in a stand up comedy sort of way.

  Too constraining...astronomical rent prices, nowhere to park a car (driving around that madhouse would be intimidating anyway).I'm not sure even visiting would be enjoyable. I spent a three day weekend there in 1967 and it was a bit stressful. In 1967, the rents were high but just barely affordable.
