Gian Maria Volonte, who should be familiar to American viewers as the disturbed villain in "For a Few Dollars More," portrays Primo Levi-- and it is a performance for the ages.

I viewed it many years ago on a big screen. This film stayed with me all those years but I had no clue what the name was.
I did not remember he was Jewish or the reason for his exile. The village depiction and villagers was amazing a haunting film.
I see it's on Netflix will watch it again soon.
