This is a fascinating movie, starring Joe Mantegna and Lindsay Crouse. A brilliant film.
Follow Ups:
Fun film! I taped it for some reason when it was on TV about 15 years ago, and I still have the tape somewhere. Watched it again and still liked it, though it was better the first time.Rod
OK first time you see it, then quickly forgettable.

Spoiler:
getting scammed but it was done very subtly (sp??). Fine performance by Montegna. As for Crouse, all I can say, a great, well written part, played average.
Do I have to spell it out?

And Mamet is a talentless fake.

I loved it....one of my regular recommendations to others looking for something offbeat.

Not to mention a few "Worst" actors and a couple a "worst actresses.
Not that anyone at AA would think you are prone to hyperbole.
Don't piss on my shoe and tell me it's raining.
.. Mamet showing through her. Although, she's well-suited for that role, I think.
Does the fact that you only watch part of a movie before rendering opinion mean that we'll get proportionately more reviews from you? There's probably a need you can fill with that. I'm in. LOL.
it was excruciating to watch, and listen to.
... because he has the rest of us fooled.
Good movie. Although, I watched it again recently and it looked pretty dated..... however it's still quite an interesting flick.
