any Blade Runner fans please comment on the difference between the standard edition and the directors cut. Which do you like better and why. Thanks.
Follow Ups:
The "director's cut' isn't really a directors cut, but as others said, the voice over is gone, and the ending has changed a bit. There's actually less blood in the DC version, and there are a few minor changes. There are also different implications about Decker's relationship with replicants. There will be a third and final version coming out as a set of all 3 versions on DVD/BD/HDDVD in October, I beleive.

Apparently the HD DVD version has been announced but not theBlu-ray. The report I saw speculated that the lack of a Blu-ray release may be related to the fact that interactive menus still aren't fully supported in Blu-ray.

in the DC? This old memory of mine fades.
The third version still not out..Maybe this year?
Go for the first one, the Director´s cut is badly...cut..
It's years since I saw the original movie and my memory is not brilliant for detailed comparisons. As Duilwayer noted, the narration is different and that was the big thing I noticed. I can't remember what was in the narration or how well/badly it was done but I do remember it being there and the Director's Cut originally felt funny without it. I think the Director's Cut adds a brief dream sequence that I find totally irrelevant.
It's been too long since I've seen the original for me to be able to say which is best but the Director's Cut is fine and I really enjoy being able to see this film again after many years.

Which Ford did intentionally badly, as he believed the movie suffered from it.
