This bothers me about directors who want to be shot themselves. I'm wary of film makers that have that need... seems strange to me.
Shyamalan, Coppola, Scorsese, Eszterhas, all the greats.
What the hell is going on?
Follow Ups:
Did Shyamalan get up and leave when the waitress broke his concentration and did he pay with his Amex :-)?
I saw hime eating at the Mainline Deli in Narberth, about a month ago. Looked like he had a lot of time on his hands!!
I thought it was superb, and I mean from a director's standpoint. Acting, script, editing, sound- an excellent film, and yes, it had me fooled up to the end. Four out of five stars.
Which is very, very BAD! He actually gave himself a major role in "Lady In The Water"... the movie was NOT good, but having to watch M. Night "act" was sheer torture.
I liked The Sixth Sense a lot, but he obviously hit his peak early. He's gone downhill rapidly since then.
Cheers
Hard to argue. "Unbreakable" had it's moments, but it's been a meandering downwardjogsprint from there.
I did have the misfortune of seeing The Village and it was the worst movie experience of my entire life.
