"Shooting Party" years ago and was impressed, as you are, by the cast but thought it certainly wasn't as good as it. I'll see it again, since it was so many years ago, and see what I think.
Follow Ups:
Mac Orlan book was quite good, the film, boring and never to my liking.
I think I saw it twice, first did not like it, second ever less.
Now that´s it!
The worst in SP is the pseudo Ravel film music!
Also very difficult to get all the names as everything goes quickly but that was the same in Gosford Park, the dialog to quick! I mean for me in English double so hard.
Jean Gabin's performance.
When he tries to be a tough guy, his looks don't support it.
I think the culprit is Carmé, but I never was a great fan of Jean Gabin.
Now I have discovered a GREAT wine maker, he makes rose, and red who are outstanding and you know what?
They are cheap!
Now, do you ever get to England?
Not anymore.
In fact I get nearly nowhere. Anymore.
Pourquoi?
We're touring SE, Heart of England, and Suffolk for three weeks, beginning July 31.
We're avoiding London, renting a car at the airport and summarily decamping from the city.
We're open to any rendezvous if you come across the Channel: no need to fly with the "Chunnel" and ferries...
Of course, you could wait until next spring when I'm visiting Berlin but... no family will be along on that trip just a couple of my very oldest friends.
Well at the moment we got a lot to do with our grant children and I can stay away,
It look that my son in law may soon have a new companion who will be, I hope a mother for the two kids left...
So let us wait for Berlin...
I certainly can wait for Berlin!
It'd be great to see you.
Bon chance to your s-in-law.
First we take Berlin, that was a nice Cohen song.
Yeah!
