It indeed is a masterpiece: it kept me glued to my seat the first time I saw it, and it never disappointed me a bit the three other times Iīve revisited it..., but it still isnīt a flic, not even a film noir...

I was making a bit of fun of course as these questions always surfaces from time to time, but deep into me this transformation make me see it as a criminal film.
