      Have you seen Stay Away, Joe? Elvis playing an Indian, as does Burgess Meredith (seriously). Best as I can tell, the entire film is about Elvis and the rest of his indian pals wrestling and thinking of ways to buy beer. Really.

        but still better than the abyssmal "Harum Scarum."
        
        Presley didn't want to make it but had to because of contractual obligations and his inability to say "no" to the Colonel. "Stay Away Joe" way good advise to the audience. Man, that thing stunk.

        Elvis signed, with the Colonel's advice, of course, his twenty one picture contract at the beginning of his career. I have read that Elvis commented that he would become physically ill in reading the scripts for the next film, knowing how much time he must spend on the film. Some have speculated that part of his demise was the intense work hours following the completion of the contract, given all the pent up desire to only make music, to the point where he physically killed himself.
