No. I would not. I tink it is a minor work. But one that I do not regret to have seen.
A puzzle less in Sica painting.
I wish we had more.

  familial relationship I've ever seen. It is the most difficult subject to deal with, i.e. a young boy's possible dissolusionment with his father.
  A very hard film for men to appreciate, not glossing over what later De Sica films used as an opportunity for "cornuto" jokes.

    He hold tight to his father, being the same gender.( which is a constructive failure in my eyes, as most of the kids would hold to their mothers, but please they are derogatives )
    He is the adult, while his parents are the kids.
    That is a beautiful touch.
    Sica must have suffered as a kid, to put this into such a light..

        Sterne is as clever a being as I've ever read and, more rarely, erudite and wise. On top of all that, he's knee-slappingly hilarious, as well.
        I'd rather share a glass of beer with him than just about anyone else, with Borges and Henry Fielding rounding out the group...

        Well o well after trying to see the film, and stopping in the middle of it, boringly so, And then there was this book that I have had contact a long long time ago, so I decide to order it and after that give another go to the film.
        Am I not courageous?
        
        Or a good Rhum! I once bought a bottle in Geneva, 1890 or so, boy that was the revelatiion of the decade.
