This is a reverent documentary about Ralph Nader. When the often quoted line of George Bernard Shaw comes up as the introduction to the film, it's safe to say that you're not going to watch an even handed look at Ralph Nader. However, what one does see through the course of the film is an ugly reflection of how powerfully corrupted our two party political system has become thanks to corporate influence.
The movie also spends a fair chunk of time presenting counterarguments against the democratic party for Nader's 2000 election run as "ruining Al Gore's presidency." It also documents the celebrity abandonment from 2000 to the 2004 campaign, making some high profilers (Moore and Sarandon) look wishy washy.
One point made does resonate with me though, "the lesser of two evils" is still evil.

Follow Ups:
look at him.
Very skillfully done.
Four and a half star documentary.
The list of accomplishments this man has to his credit, and the many, many thousands of lives he has saved by his courageous actions, are a credit to the race.
Need I mention that all the millions spent by the corporations who have hated Ralph his entire adult life have not unearthed ONE personal foible, one act for which to bring him down?
I don't know how many human beings could withstand such microscopic examination and remain spotless.
Raplh's no saint but he's certainly the greatest public servant we've had in the 20th century, in this country.

Or did you think this was outside?

...I watched an interview with him about the film and his book.I respect and admire his principles.
And he is correct saying third party candidates raise issues the two main party candidates don't.
But he could have accomplished the same things by bowing out of the presidential race at the past minute.
Instead, he is driven by his big ego and ended up a spoiler.
Ralph Nader is one of the few genuine heroes still living. I don't care if the votes that went to him cost the Dems the election. The Dems have already been so pathetic they couldn't beat Bush who was a laughing stock with their ridiculous choice of Kerry. Since neither of the two choices actually has something to say, I'll be voting 3rd party.
...is that the democrats involved had bigger egos and insecurities which led to that moment.
I couldn't help but see the parallels with Nader's progression of disillusionment with the democratic party over time and Greenspan's recent denouncement of the republican party losing their way, trading principle for power.
If you're a democrat and blame Nader for everything, the movie shows the democratic party losing their way, trading principle for power.
Dare you to watch it?

(Two party system? -- More like divide and conquer by an elite majority of poseurs playing the taxpayers from both parties for everything we're stupid enough to grant them -- including our self determination.)
Thanks for the heads up on this documentary.
