A classic theme updated with a Spanish flavor yields an interesting and compelling film about a once, well-known actor who has fallen on hard times with his advancing age. No one remembers him, wants to cast him, and his own agent no longer wants to represent him.

Just as things look darkest he is given a job lead as a doorman who dresses in character as famous historical "bad boys". Pablo nearly balks until he learns he will be paid 10K Euro a night for his services at "Club Pandora".

Once Pablo agrees to perform his life changes and he finds opportunities to exercise his frustrations, anger, and grief for his murdered daughter. Despite his numerous crimes he seems immune from police detection and continues on with his double life sinking deeper into the quicksand of damnation.

This is a visually interesting film with great editing and cleverly artistic dissolves from scene to scene. The cast is excellent and much detail was paid to the special effects ranging from splashing blood to the torture of the obligatory naked lady.

Interesting. Worth a see.
