Year of Living Dangerously. "What must we do?" Replay.

First time was a good one.

This last time was even better. Linda Hunt is phenomenal in a screenplay that is wonderful. Mel and Sigourney, pretty as they will ever be.

Movies that can move are fairly rare these days. This is one of very few of those. I'm considering purchasing the DVD of this for yet more replaying.

This is a good film. I also liked Linda Hunts part. Music by Vangelis fits the film well.

  And it had that song that blows me away every time I hear it. Kiri Te Kanawa did it for the movie. Beim Schlafgehen from Richard Strauss's Four Last Songs.

    After first seeing "T.Y.O.L.Dangerously" I couldn't believe the credits that Billy Kwan was played by Linda Hunt.
    
    Her performance is an all time favorite of mine -- relevant, touching, heroic, delusional, trancendent -- unbelievable range and commitment.
