  they came up with a good way to do 3D DVDs.
  
  
  I'm told that certain of the newest TVs have a 120 Hz frame (refresh) rate and with the right DVD could be configured to do the same type of 3D that you saw (or didn't see) in the Beowulf movie.
  
  But, to my knowledge there are no 3D Blu Ray disks yet, and the 120Hz TVs for the moment at least are rare. But if the TV manufacturers want people to have an excuse to upgrade their sets, then a 3D DVD or two might just do it.
  
  I saw Beowulf in non-3D and then in 3D..the first was ok BUT the latter was spectacular.

    ....in real life although obviously Angelina Jolie and Anthony Hopkins in particular are instantly recognisable.
    
    Do you think Angelina Jolie may now have to put up with a few comments along the line of "sorry - I didn't recognise you with your clothes on (and no tail)"?

        Well, I'd say the breasts of Grendel's Mother are probably Angelina's, but the backside most definitely isn't and the fact there's no markers on her backside indicates the guys who 'mapped' her backside weren't really interested in what it was doing while she was walking around; no doubt they had a flat-chested but firm buttocked 19 year old body (backside) double with markers just on her backside duplicating Angelina's movements?
        
        I also see she has 'Mother' written on her back so she doesn't get mixed up with Beowulf or Grendel - easy mistake.
