Everyone involved seemed to have a great time making it, although they often failed to get through a whole take without breaking up, which apparently happened quite often. Ironically, Macfadyen, the sad faced straight man, is most frequently the one who breaks up.
Absolutely great cast. I don't underdtand why Tudyck and Macfadyen aren't more famous.
Nice to have an adult comedy for a change that is actually FUNNY. This movie was one of my favorites last year and the absolute best time I had in a movie theater in 2007.
Follow Ups:
Great cast and for me, utterly boring.
Curious is it not?
" Mieux vaut une tête bien faite qu'une tête bien pleine."
I couldn't totally embrace the film.
That storyline being the LSD (or was it ecstasy) one. I mean, the idea of it wasn't fake but the performance of it was. I didn't get the sense that the actor truly knew what it was like to be on such substances and I never bought his performance/the direction.
"You can safely assume you have created God in your own image when he hates all the same people you do."
The mood swings from "everything's sooooo groooovey" to "uh-oh"?
And did you see him in the gag reel, the last scene?

and I never bought it.Heck... for all I know he's big into hallucenogins and nailed it perfectly for his own experience. Obviously it resonates with a lot of people but it didn't for me.
On a separate note... the little blackmailer guy was great!!... but then he always is.
"You can safely assume you have created God in your own image when he hates all the same people you do."
It was my first viewing of such a scene, which I might have thought was uncommon...
Dinklage is always great. Also not to forget Jordan Prentice as a racist dwarf actor in In Bruges.

I know I've told this story on one of these boards before...
We were editing a music video of his at work. It was while they were spraying so much Malathion in Los Angeles (1988-89 - ish). He and I were in the kitchen and started talking and I said something about the Malathion and about having just gotten inside the night before when the helicopters flew over unleashing their spray.
He said;
"Those helicopter's aren't what you have to worry about, it's the people with fish on their cars that you have to worry about."
"You can safely assume you have created God in your own image when he hates all the same people you do."
Not in the same league overall (and not the only example) but a movie with a spot on altered mind from hallucinogenic substances scene was the mushroom taking in "Knocked Up"
