LOS ANGELES - Bob Anderson, who played the young George Bailey in the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life," has died. He was 75.
Anderson died Friday of cancer at his home in Palm Springs, his wife, Victoria, said Saturday.
Robert J. Anderson grew up in a Hollywood family. His father, Gene, was an assistant director and later a production manager. His uncles were directors William Beaudine and James Flood, and his brothers and cousins were editors and production managers.
Anderson was introduced to films when relatives arranged for him to appear in a movie scene that called for a baby, his wife said.
Follow Ups:
Never forgot the blood coming from his ear after being hit by the drunkyard.

...must have seen this film close to ten times and I still get choked up every time at that scene. Breathtaking acting from H B Warner as he realises his mistake. Not surprisingly breathtaking when you take a look at his cinematic career....
and it doesn't matter what mood I'm in. Always wipes me out. I think it's Bailey's crying/yelling "you're hurting my ear".
.. it's all down to Mr Gower suddenly sobering up. He's lost, drunk and in grief but all of a sudden a moment of clarity brought on by the magnitude of his mistake and the feelings for this boy, just like his own, possibly not much older son.
I know it's sentimental but I love this film just about as much as any other. Just beautiful.
Thanks for the Link. I was not ( aware ) but now I am and I can memo some of his roles.
In the future I will look for him.
