So got yesterday the player made code free and bought my first DVD made at this standard.
( Pan�s Labyrinth )
I don�t know how older films will translate in this new medium, and soon I will find out..BUT
it is not to be believed what the quality is!

I said and I thought I would not rebuy any of my prefered films in any format.

If the quality is such, I will.
Just a big step nearer to the film quality as seen in a good movie house.

I just bought a player a week ago. Today I bought the Blu-ray version of The Shining, only a month after having bought the SD version (I too swore I would not rebuy them in Blu-ray). What else can you do - Blu-ray is so wonderful.....

  There is a touch of digital noise reduction holding it back, but the detail is phenomenal, overall.

  Can you tell me something about HDMI cables?
  The length I need is 5 meters, my deaer says no difference between the stock Pioneer and the more expensive one.
