not my favorite genre but the first two are two of the greatest of all American films. Number three is a mess.

You can make the argument that people won't care about the restored versions or the 1080p transfers (we'll see), but people do care about this movie. A lot. Aside from getting the picture quality into the 21st century, there will be much material and commentary from Coppola.

  - They're traditional "tragedies", just modernized from Shakespeare's time - Jazz Inmate 10:48:21 07/02/08 (0)
    They deal with politics of crime, i.e., honor and loyalty among thieves, as well as exploring family and sociological issues. If you can't appreciate the first two Godfather films on some level, you're missing out on much of what cinema is all about.
