The story may be common, the photography is not, glorious it is.
When I say the story as such I don�t mean the film which is very profund and lightning in is clarity.
A Christian poem, the opposit to Bergman, but the same deeph.
Mystisim is redemption.
The very roots of religion from a Ortodox ( Russian church ) point of view.
It would have been a chef d�oeuvre if their was only a better vehicle as this unimaginaive plot.
Anyaway one of the very best in the last two years I have seen.
I hope Tin , Victorand others here will have the whish to see it.
Only in Russian with French undeertitles at the moment.
Amazon France...has it.

I am not sure the exact meaning but the parts were well played and it certainly gave a slice of life that was new.
