Besides being a pretty cool move where Claude Rains plays a great bad guy, this movie is full of cool stuff electronics wise. Rains character does a macabre radio show and has a studio in his house. Great turntables and vinyl collection. He also has a cutting lathe to make records, which he does for evil purposes in the film. The room with that gear has been treated acoustically. Also he wired the house for sound with mics and speakers to spy on people in other rooms and playback things to be "overheard". The turntable "pops up" from a big cabinet at the press of a button. Huge chassis and nice looking arm for 1947. TCM is showing it this month.

Here's a link to a clip that shows the radio station studio but not his cool home setup.

I want to watch it again and record it
It aired the other day. TCM will surely reshow it at some point. Keep your eyes peeled. I think any audiophile/vintage lover would be quite impressed.
