Why all the commotion over Pineapple Express?

This darn movie didn't end soon enough. Not that great. Not That original, Nothing Special, nothing memorable. Wouldn't have spent the money had I known. My other 1/2 read about all the reviews and talked me into seeing it. Two weeks in a row... tropic thunder, and pineapple express, which was much better.

a not uncommon tendency. The recent film, "In Bruges," found torture, mayhem, and murder a subject for comedy.
I guess when Abu Ghraib and GB are not condemned as inhuman by a society, anything goes!

...just as it's common for a friend to have an opinion about a movie that's diametrically opposed to mine.

Add to that that I've made a doc that was widely reviewed and reactions ranged from one saying the film is a model for other filmmakers to follow to another which said it was a lesson in how not to make a film. It's fascinating to read reviews when you're the creator. One is often completely baffled by what people say. One person complained about my documentary having bad acting. I still chuckle over that one!
